Huge thumb grabber bug

Post by bbhrucy79 »

Okay to the chase. 2 bugs with thumb grabber, 1st is very serious bug, 2nd is "lack of intelligence" of grabber.

It so happens that somehow your thumb grabber does not even check if a link contains "img src" ???

Bug one.
I created a text toplist and put it on the upper left side of my site. Well.

Your thumb grabber grabs not the images from my domain but instead it crawls these toplist links ( that do not even look like an image by any standard ) and visits my trades and grabs image from trades.....this is extremely bad, actually I dont get it at all I mean its not an image!!!

It does not end here.

Bug two.
Thumb grabber also cannot grab images from "lazy loading" images. Lazy loading is not a new thing its about 5 years old now. Support would be needed. Most modern sites use it, to save on bandwidth.

Example for Bug one: http://www.essex-glamour.com/

Example for Bug two: http://amazing-babes.com/

update:

I moved the php include code of this text toplist to the very bottom of my index page. Problem solved.

Yet it still has to be said that grabber does a poor job , assuming that every link that appears on the top of the page is an image link...it should look for clues, like: <img /> tag is a fantastic clue imho....

If a link does not contain the <img /> tag its because its not a link to an image....

:ugeek:
