active and inactive trade

Post by usrscom »

hello there,
I have been a ATX user for the past 6 years and I would like to know how can you setup something so that the inactive trades (trades with 0in) appear at the bottom like atx does.. TE is still sending traffic to 0in trades.. what do you recommend? would be nice if they were separated in a different table at the bottom!

Well..., TE uses a different approach and in my personal opinion it's better. Basically what you're looking for is part of the "Capping" module.
Click on the "edit trade" icon (or use mass edit at the bottom to edit it) and you will find "Min size" under "Capping" table. Set e.g. Min raw: 5

From the tooltips (if u hold mouse over the "min size" parameter):
"If trade size (Raws or Clk TG) is smaller than "min size" set, trade will be suspended. For obvious reason, trade has to be in the database for at least 24 hours to become a candidate for this cap type. If you reset the trade, it will again take 24 hours before this cap type is in effect. Enter 0 to disable this cap type.

From the manual / "Edit" subject (or if u click read more in the quick help box in the javascript "edit trade" window:
All cappings except "max product" totally suspend the trade (no return traffic for that trade). If trade is suspended background color for successive number in the "statistics / overview" table changes to yellow so you can easily spot trades affected by capping. If you edit the trade you will see exactly which capping(s) is/are in effect by taking a look at the background color (yellow if in effect).

regards,
Jim

Oh... and if you will decide you want to use "Min size" capping for all your trades, u can of course set default values for the new trades too.
Click on the "+ Trade" icon on the top right side of the admin panel and select "Default values" in the popup. Those default values are preloaded next time you'll be adding a new trade, this way u won't need to fill up the same parameters over and over again.
