trade expert and nubiles tube script

Hello all
I am curious before I go about attempting to setup this script with my site and host. I use apthost and cannot have 777 permissions on anything they need 755 with the way they are setup. This is a problem with some other tradescripts. Is this a problem with this script, will it function properly with 755 permissions in place of 777? Also how compatible is it with a multiniche tube site using the nubiles tube script? When clicking on a thumbnail a new page will open up with the video. Will that be a problem?

any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated before I put the time in to install

thanks

Regarding Nubiles tube script all I can say is that it will work like any other tradescript on that script. I have never run Nubiles tube myself but as long as you can invoke in.cgi and redir to o.cgi in some way you should be fine. You could also use TE's automatic thumb grabber for video page toplists etc.

Jim knows more about where you might run into problems regarding rights so I'll leave that answer to him.

It should work on 755 as well, but it all depends how server is configured. It's best that you try. But like willwank pointed out, you should be able to use same permissions as with other scripts. Perhaps it's best that you try.
