hi. just did fresh script install (in xxx directory). everything works fine except feeder traffic tracking. TE include in index.php page is <?php include('xxx/in.php');?>
added feeder "http://feeder.com", tried to open my site with /?ref=feeder.com several times, but feeder stat shows me 0 ins. all trade and system traffic is counted correctly...

Hello,

you can't put this directly into the URL because of the bookmark protection, so you must be referred, and it will work.

Explanation:

Feeder tracking URL: Your site is ready to accept traffic on: http://www.yoursite.com/?ref=feeder.com

Bookmark protection: "in.php" module will only track feeder traffic referred from somewhere (anywhere), therefore if you will simply copy-paste tracking URL into your browser's address bar, it will be ignored. Here is why: When traffic broker is sending traffic to your tracking URL: "http://www.yoursite.com/?ref=feeder.com", visitors can potentially "bookmark" your site with "?ref=feeder.com" parameter included. When these visitors return to your site (e.g. in a few days) through bookmarks, they will be correctly counted under system trade "Bookmarks", thanks to the "bookmarks protection". If this protection didn't exist, these visitors would be miscounted under "feeder.com".

How to test it: Create a link to your "feeder tracking URL" on a sub page or on another domain that you own. When you click on that link, you should see traffic counted under "feeder.com".

best regards,
Alex
