productivity question

Hello,

I have two trades with following 24 hours values:

Trade 1: Unique = 18, Out T = 310, Prod TG 0.17, Value = 0.01
Trade 2: Unique = 12, Out T = 279, Prod TG 0.15, Value = 0.00

Both trades have Algorithm set to "Value". Why there is so huge discrepancy between IN and OUT for such a low productivity trades?? It would make sense if it oppositely but why is TE still keeping to send OUT clicks to these trades??

Where can I set that for example for productivity 0.50 the ratio IN/OUT will be 50%?

Thanks.

hi,

Is it possible that this is bots/spiders that you are sending out to these trades? Bots/spiders typically also "rush" your site and click hundreds times on toplist links, so you send them out to your trades. Nothing can be done about this unfortunately, bots do not obey redirection in my experience.

if you give me login in PM or better yet show me screenshot of the situation I can tell more.

Thanks,

Hi,

yes that could be that case. But still regardless of what type of click it is script (TE) must be able to balance IN and OUT clicks for each trade and keep it balanced. So in this case it should stop sending these clicks to trade. Doesn't make sense to send it out when I'm not receiving any clicks back ...

Regards.

Oversending trades at the bottom of the trade DB is nothing unusual and nothing to worry about. Let me explain it based on an example:
Trade DB contains 50 trades. Worst 10 trades are sending you in small amounts of traffic or not sending (and producing) anything at all.
The question is... for what reason are those trades still getting some traffic back? First of all, you have to understand TE sends out only uniques and it won't send surfer to the same site twice. When surfer is clicking your out links TE will first send him to trades you owe most traffic to.
If surfer will keep clicking, it will send him to the next trade on the owed list and the next one and the next one... if he will click 50 times trade productive,
he will visit all trades in your DB. On each site there are spiders & bots that click more than 50 times. This is nothing unusual and i wouldn't recommend blocking them, because
you could block search engine spiders by doing that.

Let me know if that helped

Yes, I understand that. But we are talking about ratio 18:310 for ONE trade! And if it is a boot (a probably was ...) that it has one or at max. 2 IP addresses. And as you wrote only uniques are send out so I see no reason why there should be this ratio for one trade?

And you asked yourself answer "The question is... for what reason are those trades still getting some traffic back?" - but I see in you reply no answer for that question. Really why? If there is a very bad trade then it can't get higher amount of clicks back then it sent to me.

So in summary: if there is a boot with one IP, in database is e.g 30 trades then it will be sent to each trade. But still there must be a check if I get for given trade roughly equal number of incoming click - otherwise it makes no sense to send clicks to that trade (because I'm giving these clicks for free) ... ??

Regards.

it is impossible that te3 sends so huge amounts of clicks out to trades that have almost zero value. The explanation is most probably that these are bots and they are rushing your toplists, thumb toplists and text toplists alike, and te3 does not have control over that. Bots will click hundreds or thousands times on toplist links and this is what happens. It is also possible by the way that you are scourged by proxy traffic. In which case if you want PM me for a proxy redirect code that you can insert in your .htaccess file.
