what I've done for now is just alter the template code for empty spots to:

Code: Select all

<li>02. <a href=/cgi-bin/te/o.cgi?id=##domain:2## target='_blank'>List Your Site Here</a></li>
however - all empty spots now have a hyperlink url of: http://www.hostsite.com/cgi-bin/te/o.cgi?id=
which redirects to a non related trade.

We've had such text in the past, but most webmasters wanted us to remove it, so it's no longer there.
I think it's logical that u add at least 10 trades to your DB and create toplist that is 10 spots long. And when u will have more trades, you can add more spots.

best regards,
Jim

It's a useful option for a new site - and if it's an option - doesn't have to be used. Site design can make it awkward to shorten TL. Would be useful for thumb toplist as well (i.e default image).

Also the quest about the url above for entries not filled.

per above, without an empty spot filler option for text and thumb toplists - it means there are numerous toplists to update by hand over time - on present site - 3 per main page.
